The Oklahoma State Department of Health has successfully completed a review to maintain national accreditation from the Public Health Accreditation Board, the agency announced recently.

The health department also highlighted nine key public health outcomes to focus on through 2025.

Those outcomes include:

  • Reducing smoking among high school students.

  • Reducing e-cigarette use among high school students.

  • Reducing adult smoking.

  • Reducing obesity among high school students.

  • Reducing adult obesity.

  • Reducing the three-year average rate of infant deaths.

  • Reducing the severe maternal morbidity rate.

  • Reducing the age-adjusted rate of accidental injury deaths.

  • Reduce the age-adjusted rate of intentional injury deaths.
