State-of-the-Art Fiber Network Planned for Lawton Businesses

MEDICINE PARK - Hilliary Communications recently announced a three-phase project designed to connect businesses in Lawton to a state-of-the-art fiber network.

Speeds ranging from 100 Mbps to 1 Gig will be offered and for enterprise customers who need more bandwidth, connections up to 10 Gig willbe available.

Phase 1 is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2019. The total cost of the project is expected to be about $10 million.“Fiber is the premier solution for providing reliable, high speed broadband,” said Benne Brewer, Director of Strategic Partnerships.“The speeds and the reliability of fiber will allow businesses to meet their growing technological needs, whether it is access to connected security cameras or off premises data storage,” he said.

Hilliary Communications has consistently invested in communities. Founded more than 60 years ago, the communications company roots run deep in southwestOklahoma. The Hilliary family has owned various businesses in the Medicine Park area for nearly 80 years. “Sixty years ago, my grandfather bought Medicine Park Telephone Company with just 100 telephone lines,” said Edward Hilliary, Managing Partner of Hilliary Communications. “Today, we have over 100 employees across Oklahoma and Texas.

“This year, we hired a Chief Technology Officer with over 30 years of experience at one of the largest Telcos in the state. We promoted a senior manager to the position of Vice President of Operations and have 10 new positions to enhance our field and network operations, in addition to our sales force,” he said.

The Hilliarys are confident in their experienced team to execute the multi-million dollar state-of-the-art fiber projects.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

Several key leadership positions have been filled with experienced executives.Mike Rowell began working with Hilliary Communications in September of 2014 as Director of Operations. He was recently promoted to Vice President of Operations.

From coaxial cable to fiber-optic cable, Rowell has been connecting customers to the airwaves for his more than 40-year career in the industry.

Adam Cavazos recently joined Hilliary Communications asChief Technology Officer after a 40-year telecommunications career. Prior to his employment with Hilliary Communications, he worked as Vice President of Network Systems and Engineering at Dobson Technologies and also was self-employed as a consultant.

Chance Maness joined Hilliary Communications last year as Director of Transport and Special Circuits. He brings 23 years of experience to the team having worked his way up from a tech position to a System Analyst to Senior Director at Stream Energy in the Dallas/FortWorth, Texas area.
