The Board of Tillman County Commissioners took care of several housekeeping matters during the board’s Oct. 26 meeting.

The commissioners discussed former emergency management director Randy Hasley’s status as an emergency management volunteer and decided that he could continue assisting as a volunteer, according to Tillman County Clerk Cacy Caldwell. Hasley, who had served as Tillman County’s emergency management director since May 2015, stepped down in late September.

In other business, the commissioners:

  • Voted 3-0 to renew a lease-purchase agreement with BancFirst for two Chevy Tahoes for the Tillman County Sheriff’s Office. The agreement will remain in place for another year.
  • Voted unanimously to seek six-month bids for high-density polyethylene pipe, a flexible plastic pipe used for fluid and gas transfer. The commission also decided to seek bids for polypropylene pipe, metal pipe and other products.
  • Approved several routine purchase orders.
