LAWTON - The Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the next Ware On C Block Party Thursday, August 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Downtown Lawton’s Ware District.
Ware On C Block Party is a community event, taking place the first Thursday of each month. Each Ware On C Block Party will have an all new lineup of activities, live music from local artists, give aways and many opportunities to shop local businesses.
An August theme highlights the City of Lawton’s Birthday with historic reenactments in this special edition of Ware On C community block party. Guests are encouraged to dress in colonial wear. Re-enactors will be provided by the Museum of the Great Plains. Activities are planned to celebrate the history of the City of Lawton.
In addition, historical bullets will be provided as an educational element with special giveaways to commemorate. The event is free and open to the general public. It will be located at 4th St. and C Ave. To become a Ware On C vendor, please contact lralston@visitlawtonok.com.
