Undertaking communications for Lawton-Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce is not your typical 9-to-5 job, relays publicist for Lawton-Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce Brandi Sims.
Maintaining a balance between work, family and friends, the 30-year-old wife and mother of two says that extinguishing “small fires” at work may start as early as 5 a.m.
Sims is a 2012 communications graduate of Cameron University who earned an MBA in Public Relations from Virginia’s Liberty University in 2018. She is also Project Management Certified (PMP) through the Institute of Veterans and Military Families from Syracuse University.
She has interned with the Lawton Philharmonic and was one of the first PR persons for Lawton’s City National Bank.
Aspiring to one day have her own PR firm, Sims explains, “If I was going to promote businesses, I needed to learn their business models and practices.”
Active with several organizations, Sims is proud to be a member of the Order of the Eastern Star’s 3rd District, as well as Lawton Businesswomen and Young Professionals Lawton.
