A reporter for more than 30 years, Andrew W. Griffin has written for newspapers in Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, Arkansas and Oklahoma, as well as contributing articles to various online news sources over the years. From 2007 until 2020 he ran the Oklahoma news website Red Dirt Report.
Griffin has been writing for the Southwest Ledger since July 2020.
He is a journalism graduate from John Brown University and the University of Alabama. He published his first book in 2018 – Rock Catapult: 1966 – The Launch of Modern Rock & Roll.
He lives in Oklahoma City with his wife and three children.
