From staff reports Applications for the City of Lawton’s 2025 Elk Hunt drawing are available at the Lakes Headquarters (5215 NW Tackle Box Road) or the City Clerk’s Office (212 SW Ninth St.). Applications can also be downloaded at https://bit.ly/ElkHunt2025.
Those wishing to participate must submit an application and possess a valid Oklahoma hunting license.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. Sept. 12 and can be submitted either in person to Lakes Headquarters or mailed to the City Clerk’s Office.
A $25 administrative fee must be submitted with the application. Only check, money order or cashier’s check will be accepted; no cash.
The drawing will take place at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 17 during the Lakes and Lands Commission meeting in the City Hall Banquet Room at 212 SW Ninth St. Attendance at the drawing is not necessary.
Elk hunting season is scheduled for Oct. 9–12 for the first period and Dec. 18–21 for the second period. City staff will coordinate with drawing winners to schedule hunt times.
