LAWTON – Did you know that household items such as used oil, antifreeze, bleach, paint and even batteries can be hazardous waste if disposed of improperly?
Never dispose of those items down the drain, Lawton officials said in a news release. Instead, recycle them, share them with others, throw them away in a sealed container or dispose of them at city-sponsored events such as Trash Off.
Stormwater runoff is the biggest source of water pollution, but you can be the solution. Remember, only rain should go down the storm drain.
