LAWTON – The Comanche County Courthouse will remain closed through January, elected county officials announced January 15.
The courthouse was closed to the general public on November 24, 2020, because of an increase in COVID-19 cases in the county and across the state.
County department heads met to discuss whether to reopen the courthouse on January 19. However, it was decided that the closure should remain in effect until the county officers reconvene at the end of the month to decide whether to reopen in February.
All county offices are open for business by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling the offices during the business hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
