OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City man has admitted he robbed a credit union earlier this year.

Kiwanis Yomone Roberts II, 23, pleaded guilty to robbing the Focus Federal Credit Union in Oklahoma City.

Roberts told Western District Judge Bernard M. Jones he “took by force, violence and intimidation” an undisclosed amount of currency from the financial institution on March 13. “I presented a note demanding money ... that didn’t belong to me.”

Sentencing is set for January 8, 2021. The penalty for the holdup could be a maximum of 20 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine, U.S. Attorney Timothy J. Downing said.
