Duncan awards street restriping project to Action Safety Supply Co.

DUNCAN – The City of Duncan will spend $200,000 on a project to paint new stripes on various streets around town.

The Duncan City Council voted 5-0 Sept. 23 to award the striping project to the Oklahoma City-based company Action Safety Supply Co.

Thu Capital Improvement Program’s budget for fiscal year 2025-26 includes money for restriping city streets, said City Manager Chris Deal.

“A quote was received from

Action Safety Supply Co. LLC, based on current statewide stripe contract number SW776,” he said, adding that city staff recommended awarding the project to the company.

Twenty-five streets will be restriped as part of the project, according to a Sept. 23 memo to the council. The list includes:

• Osage Road at U.S. Highway 281: 300 feet east and west of the Duncan Bypass.

• Camelback Road at the bypass: 500 feet east and west of the bypass.

• Camelback Road at U.S. 281: 1,000 feet east and west of U.S. 281.

• Plato Road at the bypass: 300 feet east and west of the bypass.

• Plato Road at U.S. 281: East to 400 feet east of Country Club Road.
