From staff reports DUNCAN – The Duncan City Council has renewed City Manager Deal’s annual contract for another year.
The council announced the renewal at its May 13 meeting.
“We are pleased that City Manager [Chris] Deal accepts this contract renewal, and we appreciate his wealth of experience, dedication to our community and his passion for collaboration that has benefited Duncan during his first year,” Mayor Robert Armstrong said in a news release. “With City Council’s vision and commitment to moving Duncan forward, in combination with Chris’ dedication to community engagement and transparent governance, we look toward a bright future.”
Deal said: “I am honored that City Council has requested me to serve for another contractual year. We will continue to build upon the foundation our team efforts accomplished this past year and continue to serve our citizens proudly as we move our community forward together.”
Deal’s new contract is currently being drafted by the city attorney for signing on June 6.
