Duncan Council sets date for municipal vote

DUNCAN – Duncan residents who live in Wards 3 and 4 will choose their representatives on the Duncan City Council later this year.

In its first meeting of 2025, the council voted Jan. 14 to call for a municipal election by scheduling the candidate filing period and setting an election date. The filing period will run from Feb. 3 through 5, and the election is scheduled for April 1.

Candidates must have lived in their ward for at least six months before filing a declaration of candidacy, and they must be registered to vote in their ward.

Councilwoman Patty Wininger currently represents Ward 3 on the council, and Vice Mayor Gene Brown serves Ward 4.
