Duncan Fire Dept. to host ‘Dog Days of Summer’ event

From staff reports DUNCAN – The Duncan Fire Department’s second annual “Dog Days of Summer” event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 24 at PlayDay Park, 621 S. 15th St.

Local families and day cares are encouraged to save the date and make plans to enjoy one of Duncan’s fire engines spraying water into the air; sample a complimentary sno-cone from Dandy’s Dan Sno-Cones, compliments of the fire department and the city of Duncan; and spend time participating in puppy play dates with the Stephens County Humane Society.

There will also be a special appearance from the fire department’s fire dog, Sparky, city officials said in a news release.

Residents are requested to follow the flow of traffic and obey any signs and barricades, as certain areas will be blocked off for fire engine access to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
