Duncan selects contractor for remodeling project

DUNCAN – The Duncan City Council has chosen a contractor for a restroom remodeling project at the city’s criminal justice building.

The council voted 4-0 Aug. 13 to approve Hope Equipment and Construction’s $115,200 bid for the project, which will consist of remodeling the restrooms, redoing the men’s shower and adding a women’s shower, public information and civic engagement director Loisdawn Jones said in an Aug. 15 email to a Southwest Ledger reporter.

Mayor Robert Armstrong was absent.

Hope Construction, which is based in Duncan, has 120 days to complete the project.
