Early voting starts Aug. 20 for voters in Comanche County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls the day of the election have the option of voting early at their county election board.
Early voting is open to all voters, Comanche County Election Board Secretary Amy Sims said in a news release.
“You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early,” she said. “Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted by the county election board, from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections. This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or who want to avoid long lines.” Early voting is available from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Aug. 20 and 21 and from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Aug. 22 at the election board, 315 SW Fifth St., Room 206, in Lawton. The service is not available at polling locations.
