With the primary election for the Lawton City Council behind them, candidates are preparing for November’s vote.
Candidates Kelly Harris and Mark Malone survived the Sept. 14 primary election for the Ward 2 seat on the council, setting the stage for a runoff election in November. Both men will appear on the November ballot.
Here are some reminders for the upcoming election, which is open only to residents of Ward 2:
• Oct. 15 is the deadline to register to vote in the run-off election. For more information about registering, visit okvoterportal.okelections.us.
• Early voting will take place from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Nov. 4 and 5 at the Comanche County Courthouse, 315 SW Fifth St.
• Polls in Ward 2 will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 9.
