From staff reports The Work Ready Oklahoma program will host a job fair from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. March 12 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 135 NW Second St. in Lawton, according to a news release from Work Ready Oklahoma.
A sensory-friendly hour will run from 9 to 10 a.m. for veterans and people who need special accommodations.
Great Plains Technology Center, Oklahoma Works, Legal Aid and Oklahoma Rehabilitation Services will provide onsite assistance during the job fair.
Work Ready Oklahoma focuses on moving Oklahomans toward self-sufficiency through preparedness and make connections with employers and resources that will ultimately help them find the right job,” said Bernita Taylor, program director for Work Ready Oklahoma in Lawton.
More than 40 employers will be at the job fair to answer questions, take interviews and help participants fill out applications. A local photographer will be on hand to provide free professional headshots.
Work Ready Oklahoma services in Comanche County are provided by a contract with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, according to the news release. The program offers low-income Oklahomans a path to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
