From staff reports FORT SILL – Key Gate West will reopen Sept. 19 following construction of a new traffic barrier to enhance safety and security at one of Fort Sill’s highest-traffic entry points, Fort Sill officials said in a news release.
“Welcome back to Key Gate West! These upgrades are essential to Fort Sill’s security, and we appreciate everyone’s patience,” said Garrison Commander Col. Derek Baird.
“More improvements are on the way, including upgrades to the 52nd Street Gate.”
With the reopening of Key Gate West, the following gate hours will be in e ffect:
• Key Gate West (Interstate 44): Open 24/7.
• Bentley Gate (Sheridan Road): Open 24/7.
• Scott Gate: Open from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday.
• Apache Gate: Open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday.
• Key Gate East: Open from 5 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• 52nd Street Gate: Open from 5 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
