• Workers’ Comp cases filed in Oklahoma have declined by 42%: from an average of 15,976/year in 2001-12 to an average of 6,760/year in 2014-18.

 

• Orders for mediation have multiplied: 43 in 2014, compared to 1,736 in 2018.

 

• The number of cases appealed has plummeted almost 93%: from an average of 1,021/year to an average of 75.8/year.

 

• In 2008-12 Oklahoma recorded the highest increase in Workers’ Comp insurance rates in the nation: 19.8%.

 

• In 2014-18, Oklahoma recorded the greatest decrease in Workers’ Comp insurance rates in the nation: 47.8%.

 

• Workers’ Comp insurance premium costs in Oklahoma have fallen by nearly one-third: from $961 million in 2013 to $662 million in 2018.
