KellPro Inc. receives USDA REAP grant

From staff reports DUNCAN – KellPro Inc., a technology company specializing in custom software and information technology, is a recipient of a U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Energy Efficiency Program (REAP) grant.

The small business, which employs about 50 people, will receive the $978,600 rural development investment grant to install a 296.9 kilowatt (kW) solar system, according to a recent USDA press release. The system is estimated to produce 398,229 kilowatt hours (kWh) in year one, which is enough electricity to power 36 homes.

REAP grants are designed to help agriculture producers and rural small businesses reduce energy costs and consumption.
