Lt. Gov. Pinnell to keynote Beans & Baskets fundraiser

ALTUS — Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell will be the featured speaker at the 14th annual Beans and Baskets GOP fundraiser 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Altus Community Center.

The event will be hosted by the Southwest Oklahoma Republican Women. The community center is located at 401 Falcon Road.

Pinnell, now serving his second term as lieutenant governor, also is president of the state Senate and sits on multiple state boards and commissions. He spends a majority of his time promoting tourism in Oklahoma and is a recruiter for companies wanting to relocate or expand in the state. 

Last year, Pinnell launched “A Look at Oklahoma Career Tech,” video interview series to highlight the education and employment opportunities the state’s Career Tech system provides. 

Pinnell earned an advertising degree from Oral Roberts University. He lives in Tulsa with his wife and their four children.
