Miller, Haste receive Rising Star Awards from State Chamber

OKLAHOMA CITY - State Rep. Nicole Miller (R-Edmond) and Sen. John Haste (R-Broken Arrow) each received the Rising Star Award from the Oklahoma State Chamber at its annual Public Affairs Forum on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

The forum was held at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

“I have always tried to help build an environment where businesses can thrive both across Oklahoma and in District 82, and I’m grateful to the State Chamber for this recognition,” Ms. Miller said. “Oklahoma businesses play a vital role in our state’s economy, and the Chamber’s commitment to Oklaho- ma’s businesses is commendable.”

“I’m very honored and humbled to receive this award,” Haste said. “It’s very important to support businesses in our state. They create the jobs and investments that fuel our economy and create a better future for us all. I applaud the Chamber for all they do to promote Oklahoma businesses and thank them for this recognition.”

The Rising Star Award is given to members of the Legislature who are dedicated to building a business-friendly environment within Oklahoma. Miller, who represents District 82 in the House, and Haste, who represents District 36 in the Senate, are both in their first terms.
