OKLAHOMA CITY – State Reps. Kyle Hilbert (R-Depew) and Daniel Pae (R-Lawton) were named last month as members of the 2019 Next- Gen Under 30 class.
NextGen Under 30, now in its ninth year, is a statewide program that recognizes young professionals under 30 years of age who demonstrate leadership, community service, and professional achievements. The 16 categories awarded ranged from arts to education and from finance to sports and fitness.
A panel of business and civic leaders select the award winners based upon their participation in and contribution to their communities.
Hilbert and Pae, both Republicans, were elected to the House in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Hilbert serves District 29, which includes portions of Creek and Tulsa counties. Pae represents Lawton’s District 62 in Comanche County.
Hilbert serves as vice chair of the House Appropriations and Budget Committee and said he is pleased to have been named to this class.
“It’s gratifying to be selected to serve with this group of current and future influencers,” Hilbert said. “I look forward to learning, exchanging ideas and serving together to bring positive change to our state.”
Pae, who serves as the vice chair of the House Government Efficiency Committee, echoed Hilbert’s sentiments.
“This year’s honorees go above and beyond for their communities, and I’m humbled to have been named among them,” Pae said. “I’m excited to get to know this hard working, dedicated group of people and collaborate with them to better the state.”
The group gathered at the State Capitol on Monday, Sept. 23, for a “Day at the State Capitol.” Winners will also be honored at an awards ceremony in Norman on Nov. 15.
