From staff reports STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow Club President Maci Carter recently shared details about the upcoming National Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow Club’s Professional Development Conference.
From Jan. 16-19 Oklahoma State ACT will host the three-day event that will bring agricultural communications students from across the country together for a range of professional development opportunities, including workshops, networking, and sessions with industry experts.
There are 18 ACT chapters in colleges across the United States, according to https://nactnow.org, the national organization’s website.
Oklahoma State ACT is honored to host the conference on a wide range of subjects.
Carter, who also works for Oklahoma Farm Report, an agricultural radio network that is featured on 45 stations across five states, mentioned there will be 30 speakers who will present on the subjects of radio, mentorship, writing, photography, design, self-marketing strategies, portfolio building and business finances. To have more direct, one-on-one engagements with students from across the nation, Oklahoma State ACT will host a gala dinner for top sponsors.
To ensure opportunities for students and professionals, Oklahoma State ACT is asking for donations for the event. “We are taking sponsorships or any other type of support that people are willing to give,” Carter said. “We have three different levels of sponsorship: a $500 level, a $1,000 level, and a $2,500 level.”
Sponsorships are available at https://philanthropete. osugiving.com/ project/43682.
'Sponsorships will remain open through the start of the conference, though our goal is to finalize as many as possible by Dec. 1,' Carter told Southwest Ledger.
