Review ‘Onward Chickasha’ plan by Dec. 4

Body

From staff reports The City of Chickasha invites all residents to provide their input to the 2050 Onward Chickasha Draft Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Map. Public participation can help guide the city’s direction in the future.

The draft plan lays out a vision for the community’s next 25 years, shaping decisions on growth, development, and city policies. “This is your chance to make sure the plan reflects what you value most for Chickasha’s future,” city officials said. “Whether you care about parks, housing, transportation, or neighborhood character, this plan will affect you and your family's experience in Chickasha.”

The public’s feedback “ensures that Chickasha remains vibrant, resilient, and ready for the future,” officials said. “By sharing your ideas, you can directly influence the policies that will affect our community and quality of life.”

Residents can view the draft and share their opinions in several ways:

• Online at OnwardChickasha.org (recommended).

• City Hall: 117 N 4th Street, weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

• Chickasha Public Library: 527 Iowa Avenue, Monday through Saturday (hours vary).

Citizens are encouraged to “make your voice heard” by 5 p.m. Dec. 4 to help refine the plan and prepare it for City Council review. A public hearing is scheduled for Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
