LAWTON – Kush Gardens, a medical marijuana dispensary chain growing across the Sooner State, with locations in Duncan, Enid, Guymon, Oklahoma City, Okmulgee, Ponca City and Woodward, has launched its newest endeavor in southwest Oklahoma.

Redcoat Ambassadors from the Lawton-Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce met with Kush Gardens’ Lawton manager Laura Smith and members of the staff for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome the new location.

Ms. Smith, as well as Kush Gardens assistant managers, offered educational information regarding the dispensary’s medicinal marijuana products.

Located at 1220 NW Sheridan Ave., Kush Gardens aims to serve as the premier location for cannabis and cannabis-related goods while educating community members about medical marijuana.

“What makes us different is our price point for quality and our educational materials,” said Ms. Smith. “We have maintained an extraordinarily great patient base because of those qualities and an educated staff that stands out amongst others in the industry.”

Educating others as to the benefits and drawbacks of cannabis, Ms. Smith said, “A lot of people are concentrating on the highest amount of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) instead of the entourage effect where you use THC (principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis) and all nine other useable cannabinoids (primary compounds in cannabis) and however many terpenes (aromatic compounds that have therapeutic benefits) that you can find in that specific strain. You need the combination of constituents to achieve the greatest overall medicinal benefit of cannabis.

“One of the things Kush Gardens would like to do is increase our presence throughout Oklahoma because Oklahomans need a reliable source of products and information. Our main objective is to listen to patients and help them decide which products work best for their medicinal needs and preferences.”

Kush Gardens plans to have 10 dispensaries across the state within the near future, Ms. Smith stated.
