Stacy O’Neal and her robotics students at Chickasha High School receive a check for $1,700 from Mike Hixson, external affairs manager with Public Service Co. of Oklahoma. The electric utility company – which serves Chickasha and at least three dozen other communities in southwest Oklahoma – “recognizes the importance of robust STEM [science, technology, engineering, and mathematics] education in today's rapidly evolving career landscape,” Hixson said. “These grants will help empower hard-working teachers with much-needed funds to improve the learning experience for their students, giving them the tools they need to succeed.”
