Oklahoma State Treasurer Todd Russ will serve as the keynote speaker during Lawton- Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce’s State of Finance luncheon on Sept. 23.
The noon luncheon at the Lawton Country Club, 4601 W. Gore Blvd., will provide an opportunity for local business owners and professionals to hear directly from the state’s chief financial officer on Oklahoma’s economic outlook and fiscal priorities. The event is not only about receiving financial updates, but also about strengthening connections among civic and business leaders across southwest Oklahoma.

Elected the 20th Oklahoma State Treasurer in 2023, Russ, a native of western Oklahoma, has long championed economic growth in rural communities. His visit to Lawton underscores the state’s commitment to keeping residents informed about financial matters that affect businesses, families and local economies. For southwest Oklahoma, where agriculture, small business and military partners drive much of the economy, Russ’ insights provide a valuable perspective on how statewide decisions impact the local community.
Prior to taking office, Russ spent more than three decades in the banking industry, including time as president of a community bank in Burns Flat. His public service career also includes six terms in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, where he gained extensive experience shaping the state’s fiscal policy. Today, Russ oversees Oklahoma’s investments, manages unclaimed property programs and works to safeguard taxpayer dollars.
