LAWTON ELECTION
LAWTON - Friday, Jan. 17, at 5 p.m. is the deadline. That is the last opportunity to be registered to be eligible to vote in the upcoming City of Lawton special election.
Voters are set to cast ballots on Feb. 11 to decide if they want to modify the ongoing Capital Improvements Plan program. For more information see https://www.lawtonok.gov/ news/propel-lawton. All registered city voters - Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians and Independents - will be eligible to cast their ballots. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5 p.m. on Feb 5. Early, in-person absentee voting will be Feb. 6 and 7 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the County Election Board office in the Comanche County Courthouse. All absentee ballots must arrive at the election before the close of business Feb. 11.
