Walmart to remodel 25 Oklahoma stores

Staff reports BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart, the corporate retail giant that operates more than 4,600 stores in the U.S. alone, announced last week that it was planning to remodel more than 650 Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets nationwide this year.

That plan includes remodeling 25 stores in Oklahoma, including the store in Hobart at 923 W. 11th St. Corporate records show that Walmart operates 134 retail units in the Sooner State, including 81 Supercenters, 33 Neighborhood Markets, seven Discount Stores, and 13 Sam’s Club locations. The stores are supported by four supply chain facilities in the state.

Walmart reported that it serves more than 280 million customers in more than 10,900 stores located in 19 countries. The company employed about 2.1 million people and reported $713 billion in revenue for FY 2026. Texas, Florida, and California have the highest concentrations of stores.
