Free family movie nights feature Harry Potter films

LAWTON — Free family movie nights featuring the entire Harry Potter series will be presented in McMahon Memorial Auditorium, in partnership with Fidelity Communications, on the first Friday of every month. The series starts at 7 p.m. on Oct. 6 with “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Unemployment low, fuel prices high

Cameron student tours Goodyear plant, receives certificate for free set of tires

LAWTON  — A European driver who will make his fourth ’round-the-world trip in an electric vehicle will be traveling on a set of tires manufactured in Lawton and purchased by a young Lawtonian who said his interest was piqued, in part, by a course he took at Cameron University.

ARAPAHO — The former manager of an association of 11 western Oklahoma counties that built an asphalt emulsion plant in Clinton pleaded guilty last week to two misdemeanor charges reduced from felonies.
