Strong demand for operating loans boosted farm lending activity at commercial banks in the fourth quarter of 2025. According to the National Survey of Terms of Lending to Farmers, the average size of loans for operating expenses during the year reached a record high and pushed up lending volumes.

Oil isn’t the only industry pumping millions of dollars into Oklahoma’s economy. A recent press release from the Oklahoma Film + Music Office estimates that $65.7 million was reeled into the state in 2025 and contributed to the creation of 5,336 jobs.
