Weger named to Ward 6 seat on Lawton City Council

LAWTON – The new representative for Ward 6 will join the Lawton City Council this week. After interviewing candidates for the position during a May 2 closed session, the council appointed Dr. Robert “Bob” Weger to fill the Ward 6 slot starting Tuesday.

April brings welcome rainfall to Oklahoma

Rebuilt trails, erosion control planned for Chickasha park

CHICKASHA – A $1.8 million project to build a loop around Shannon Springs Park will be financed largely with a federal grant. The City Council approved an agreement with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for construction of a trail at Ninth Street and Ron Terry Drive.
