Our View: Kevin Stitt is the right choice for Governor

We Oklahomans are a strong-willed (read: stubborn) lot.   Strong, capable and compassionate, we have faced down terrorists, tornadoes and the Dust Bowl. We’ve seen boom and bust economies and we have survived a global pandemic.

Education, federal overreach headline Kingfisher GOP forum

KINGFISHER — In Kingfisher, a couple of political candidates were worried about the federal government. Another said he wanted to curtail the power of state legislative leaders and talked of eliminating the barrier between church and state.

Hochatown residents meet to plan next step in incorporation battle

HOCHATOWN – The group of residents seeking to incorporate this small southeastern Oklahoma town met this week to consider new legal options against the McCurtain County Board of Commissioners.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Conversion of the H.E. Bailey Turnpike to “PlatePay” cashless tolling between Newcastle and Lawton is scheduled to start later this month, and conversion of the section between Lawton and the Texas state line, including the Walters tollgate, is slated to start in July. H.E.
