OKLAHOMA CITY – After a decade’s worth of debate, Oklahoma voters endorsed a state question to expand the state’s Medicaid system Tuesday night – but just barely. Unofficial election returns show State Question 802 gathered 340,279 yes votes and 333,761 no votes – a difference of 6,518 or 50.

DUNCAN – Dozens of volunteers worked the streets of downtown Duncan Saturday morning. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., crews worked together cleaning windows, sweeping sidewalks, picking up litter and trimming hedges along the city’s thoroughfares.

FORT SILL – Public Service Co. of Oklahoma, a unit of American Electric Power, has signed a long-term lease with the U.S. Army for siting of an energy resilience project at Fort Sill. The proposed project is the result of collaboration between the Army and PSO.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Altus CPA Gerrid Kendrix overwhelmed restaurant manager and former Altus city councilman Scot Simco in Tuesday’s primary election to capture the state House District 52 seat.

Republican candidates vying for the House District 52 seat, currently held by Republican Rep. Charles Ortega, met at the Altus City Auditorium Thursday evening to debate their stance on a variety of topics.

MONROE, Mich. (AP) – La- Z-Boy Inc. (LZB) on Tuesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $2.3 million. The Monroe, Michigan-based company said it had profit of 5 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 49 cents per share.
