The initiative petition is under attack in Oklahoma. House Joint Resolution #1027 (HJR 1027) passed the House on Tuesday evening at 6:05 pm. The vote was 66-30 with four members not voting. All but five of the yea votes were Republican. All Democrats voted nay.

Voters warned about ‘fake’ registration applications

OKLAHOMA CITY - State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax recently issued a warning to Oklahomans to beware of “fake” voter registration applications. Counties around the state have received several invalid voter registration applications that were generated from a website called Register2Vote.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Joshua Ray Campbell, 41, formerly of Oklahoma City, was sentenced to serve 42 months in prison for conspiracy to commit theft or receipt of stolen mail and aggravated identity theft, announced United States Attorney Timothy J. Downing.

Health care providers begin steps to control virus

OKLAHOMA CITY – The U.S. Centers for Disease Control announced that Oklahoma will receive $6.92 million to help fight the coronavirus pandemic.
As of Sunday, Oklahoma had seven cases of coronavirus, either presumptive positive or confirmed positive by the CDC.

Just a few packages remain on the shelves five minutes after associates stocked two pallets of toilet paper at the Altus Walmart Supercenter Friday, March 13. Due to high customer demands, Walmart enforced a two-package limit on toilet paper and cases of bottled water. Associates scrambled to stock toilet paper and other items as customers picked the shelves clean. Four pallets of toilet paper were purchased within 20 minutes, one associate stated.
