Rig Report: Rig count held steady in Oklahoma

From staff reports After a large jump in oil and gas rigs last week across the U.S. the industry saw a decline this week, according to the latest Baker Hughes rig count released July 25.The U.S. total fell by two to 542 rigs while Oklahoma’s count was unchanged.

CHICKASHA – A typical firefighter’s day is comprised chiefly of medical runs, interspersed now and then with a structure fire or grassfire, sometimes a hazardous material spill.On May 26 it was a water rescue.

LAWTON – The Lawton Economic Development Corp. is required to initiate at least 24 projects aimed at boosting the local economy each year, said LEDC President Brad Cooksey.
