LAWTON — The Lawton Redistricting Commission has postponed a public hearing on proposed ward maps.
City staffers discovered that they needed to make a minor readjustment to the map that the commission had previously approved, said Kaley Patterson Dorsey, communications and marketing manager for the city.
“Therefore, the commission opted to postpone the public hearing to meet again to re-examine the map,” she said in an email.
The new date for the public hearing has not been set yet. The commission will still meet on Dec. 1 to re-examine the proposed ward maps.
