LAWTON — Local companies will have the opportunity to promote their services and products at the Stop, Swap, and Shop Business Expo at the Great Plains Coliseum Annex of the Comanche County Fairgrounds.

Hosted by Lawton-Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce, the expo, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, already has about 40 vendors committed.

“There’ll be companies ranging from motels, paint shops, banks, insurance, bakeries, veterinarians and spas,” Melissa Beck, director of programs, said. “This is a chance for the vendors to promote themselves to the public. The majority are information booths and giving out info and letting the public know about them.”

A limited number of vendor booths are still available to any chamber member. In addition, event organizers said sponsorships are still needed for the event.

Prices for the vendor booths vary depending on a company’s needs.

The business expo was halted when the COVID-19 outbreak hit the U.S. in 2020.

Chamber membership coordinator Brad Winfree said Lawton area residents are welcome to attend and “learn more about our local businesses. It gives our business community the chance to network with residents.”

The Great Plains Coliseum Annex of the Comanche County Fairgrounds is located at 920 SW Sheridan Road.
