The General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum, located in Hobart, is in search of a Leadership Program Manager.
The Leadership Program Manager is primarily responsible for the organization of the Four Star Leadership and Midland Young Leaders Program as well as Celebration of Freedom. The Leadership Program Manager will assist the Executive Director in the accomplishment of the Strategic Plan and Development/ Fundraising Plan. This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work schedule.
Job Duties:
• Carry out duties under the direction and knowledge of the Executive Director for leadership programs, business development and partnership activities.
• Responsible for all program activities including outreach and volunteer coordination, media relations and public relations of special events such as Celebration of Freedom.
• Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for the Leadership Institute. Establish strong partnerships in the community. Enhance the organization’s public image to expand interest and support, locally, regionally and nationally.
• Plan and oversee all events and programs under the direction of the Executive Director, including but not limited to Four Star Leadership, Midland Young Leaders Challenge, Celebration of Freedom and Inspired Leadership.
• Assist the Executive Director in developing relationships, plans and advancement of the organization.
• Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned and requested by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree and/ or the combination below.
• Experience in a leadership position.
• Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus.
• Proficient in writing and public speaking.
• Strong understanding of customer service skills.
• Available to work a varied work schedule including evenings and weekends when required. Skills:
• Ability to provide strong leadership, vision and direction.
• Demonstrate knowledge of standards and best practices for a business, museum and/or nonprofit.
• Ability to manage multiple projects to successful completion on time and on budget.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Team Player.
