From staff reports OKLAHOMA CITY – Brian Bingman coasted to victory in the campaign to select a successor to veteran Corporation Commissioner Bob Anthony.
Bingman, a Republican
1,537,252 votes cast in that race, or almost 64% of them.
Democrat Harold Spradling, who previously sought election to the Corporation Commission as a Republican, received 444,254 votes, and Libertarian Chad Williams received 114,128 votes.
Anthony is finally terming out after 36 years on the commission. He was first elected in 1988.
