LAWTON – Board of Comanche County Commissioners Chairman Josh Powers will lead the board again this year.
In its f irst meeting of 2025, the commission voted 3-0 Jan. 6 to appoint Powers to the chairmanship for another one-year term. The board also named Commissioner Ryan John as the vice chairman.
Powers said he appreciated the opportunity to serve as chairman again.
“Thank you, guys, for the trust to lead this board again,” he said.
Powers, who was first elected to the commission in 2022, ser ved as the chairman for the first time in 2024. John was elected to the board in 2023, and this year is his f irst as the vice chairman.
