Chickasha Chamber to host 97th Washita Valley Golf Tournament

From staff reports Golfers from across the region will tee off for one of Oklahoma’s oldest invitationals, the 97th Annual Washita Valley Golf Tournament, held July 4-6 at The Club at Chickasha.

Hosted by the Chickasha Chamber of Commerce, this three-day tournament features individual stroke play divided into multiple skill-level rounds. A practice round is scheduled for July 3, and a catered meal will be provided for players each day.

With divisions Championship A-E Flights, golfers of all skill levels are invited to compete. A $200 entry fee includes green fees, practice round and meals. Carts are available for $25 per day, and mulligans can be purchased (three for $30, with one allowed per day).

Additional contests include Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive each day and a Calcutta will follow the f irst round. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners in each flight. Players are encouraged to register quickly, as the first 24 paid en tries will fill each flight. Payment may be made by cash, check, credit or debit.
