From staff reports KIOWA COUNTY – Early voting begins Aug. 7 for voters in the Snyder Public Schools EMS 522 special election. Voters who cannot make it to the polls the day of the election have the option of voting early at the Kiowa County Election Board office.

Early voting is open to all voters, Kiowa County Election Board Secretary Terri Meinert said in a news release.

“You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early,” she said. “Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted through the state Election Board, from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections. This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or who want to avoid long lines.”

Early voting is available from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Aug. 7 and 8 at the Kiowa County Election Board office, 201 N. Lincoln in Hobart. It is not available at polling locations.

The election board office is open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call (580) 726-2509 or email kiowacounty@elections.ok.gov.
