Rincon buys 12 TV stations, including Tulsa’s KOKI, KMYT

Rincon Broadcasting Group announced last Friday the completion of its acquisition of se ven television stations in f ive states, including two stations in Tulsa. Nine days earlier Rincon announced the acquisition of five regional Midwestern TV stations in four other states.

The seven stations Rincon acquired July 18 from Imagicomm Communications and its affiliates include KOKI-TV (Fox) and KMYT (MyNetworkTV), both in Tulsa.

The other five stations operate in Oregon, Arizona, Tennessee and Washington state.

Rincon also bought five television stations in Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri and Iowa on July 9.

Rincon, a privately held media company founded by Todd Parkin, “focuses on delivering high quality local journalism and community service while expanding across diverse U.S. markets.”
