To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the legendary Goodyear Blimp, the iconic airship arrived in Lawton last week to honor Goodyear’s associates at its Lawton tire plant, one of the largest private employers in southwest Oklahoma. The blimp tethered at the Goodyear plant last Friday, and was scheduled to provide rides to Goodyear employees on Sunday before departing Monday.
