PepsiCo to close Tulsa warehouse operations, affecting 184 workers

TULSA - PepsiCo plans to cease warehouse operations at its Pepsi Beverages production facility in Tulsa, resulting in the permanent layoff of 184 employees.

According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act filing, warehouse operations are expected to end Nov. 15. Production at the Tulsa facility will continue, while warehouse duties will be shifted to another site in the Tulsa area.

The affected positions include 63 warehouse employees, 57 forklift operators, 16 checkers, 13 inventory control specialists and several supervisory and support positions.

PepsiCo said affected employees have been notified and are being provided information about other job opportunities, including positions with the new logistics provider. The company also said eligible employees will receive continued pay and benefits based on years of service, along with transition and career support.
