OKLAHOMA CITY - Devon Energy employees and their families recently partnered with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to provide Holiday Care and Share boxes to families in seven communities.
The boxes of food were given to 800 families in El Reno, Geary, Hinton, Kingfisher, Lomega, Watonga and Weatherford. “In every community there are vulnerable people who have trouble getting enough food,” said Tangi Smith, Devon community relations specialist. “Putting smiles on our neighbors’ faces and warm food on their tables is an invaluable experience.” Oklahoma is the fifth hungriest state in the nation. The Regional Food Bank serves 53 counties in central and western Oklahoma and on average serves 600,000 unduplicated individuals a year.
