LAWTON - A year-end fundraising campaign was recently launched by the Cameron University Foundation to generate gifts for the Aggie Fund for Student Success. Supported by private gifts, the Aggie Fund is dedicated to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to earn a college degree.
“Everything we do at Cameron University is motivated by student success,” said Albert Johnson, Jr., Vice President for University Advancement. “We strive to provide Cameron students with a solid foundation that will allow them to succeed in their attainment of a college degree, and that will also prepare them for achievement and leadership after they graduate.”
In addition to funding scholarships, gifts to the Aggie Fund can be used to provide students with opportunities that would otherwise not be possible. As most donations to the Aggie Fund are unrestricted (although donors can choose to restrict a gift to their program of choice), the gifts can be utilized for a myriad of student based opportunities, running the gamut of eSports to athletics, computer science to engineering, and more.
Funding can also be utilized to continue the support of the Cameron Psychology Clinic or the new science labs at CU-Duncan.
Gifts can be made online at http://www.cameron. edu/cu_foundation/ways- to-give, which will direct donors to a secure, online credit card form. Donations to the Aggie Fund are tax-deductible.
